Strategy & Creative Direction
Pottery Barn's brand is defined by heritage, craftsmanship, and calm editorial storytelling. This concept explores how the lookbook experience could evolve into a more interactive shopping environment without disrupting the brand's restrained aesthetic. The proposed "Shop the Room" interaction enables customers to discover products directly within lifestyle imagery, bridging inspiration and commerce while preserving the editorial tone of the brand.
Material Led Palette
- Interactive product nodes integrated subtly within lifestyle imagery
- Product preview cards designed for quick contextual discovery
- Expandable product panel that supports deeper exploration without leaving the lookbook
- Typography, material tone, and spacing designed to integrate naturally within Pottery Barn's editorial environment
The interaction system inherits its visual tone from Pottery Barn's material-driven environments rather than expressive interface color. Upholstery fabrics, natural woods, softened neutrals, and organic textures informed the palette, allowing the UI to integrate seamlessly into the editorial experience without competing for attention.
