KAT HARNER
My father placed a PlayStation controller in one hand. My mother placed pink ballet shoes in the other. What looked like opposite worlds became the same education, rooted in systems thinking, rhythm, observation, and discipline. That foundation still shapes how I approach design today.
Video games taught me systems thinking, interaction, and pattern recognition. Ballet taught me rhythm, emotion, movement, precision, and that anticipation is the hook. I design the same way: enough to stay curious, then let the reveal convince.
From digital worlds to character fashion design, digital products, and brand experiences, the medium evolved, but my curiosity stayed the same. Every project became a chance to understand how people move through an experience and how thoughtful design can guide that journey.
